Lack of HVAC maintenance cause mold infestation

If I had done this a year ago, none of this would have happened

I’ve been having headaches lately. I’ve also been really congested. I know the two things are related but I couldn’t figure out what was causing all of the sinus pressure. I’ve been using my allergy medicine but it’s not really helping. Coincidentally, I decided to have my HVAC system serviced and my ductwork system cleaned out. It’s been a few years since I’ve had either thing done and I just figured I’d get it done so that my HVAC system works well. What I didn’t expect, was that I would find out the likely cause for my headaches and sinus congestion. The HVAC technicians found a massive amount of mold in my ductwork system while they were cleaning it out. It seems that the drip pipe for my air conditioning system was clogged up and water was running into the ductwork. It’s supposed to run outside. Unfortunately, some of the water also escaped the ductwork system and got into the walls and ceiling as well. I’m horrified! I don’t know if all of the mold can be cleaned up or not. I might lose my house! I really wish that I had hired the HVAC company to come out earlier and do regular maintenance on my HVAC system. If I had done this a year ago, none of this would have happened. So now I have to call up a mold removal service and see if they can save my house. In the meantime, I don’t even want to live in this house knowing that it is infested with mold.
