How can I work without a heating system? This is the question that is going through my mind as I am sitting at my desk being forced to work even though the furnace hasn’t been working the entire day.
I work in an office building, and the boss that I work for is probably one of the cheapest bosses that I have ever met.
We have an old furnace in our building, and the furnace has made everyone cold for a long time. We expected the boss to fix the furnace. He kept telling us that he would fix the furnace whenever the company could afford it, but for now, the furnace still hasn’t gotten fixed. However, the boss was able to afford to take a huge company trip overseas, so we do not think that he ever plans to keep the furnace running properly. We finally thought that we had the boss pinned to fix the furnace. The furnace wasn’t working when we got to work today, so now, the boss is going to have to fix the furnace. Unfortunately, we did not realize that the boss would make us continue working in an office that did not have a working furnace. Do you know how hard it is to sit at a desk and concentrate when the furnace isn’t working? My hands are shaking even now as I am trying to type. The owner said that he called an HVAC technician, but the HVAC technician does not want to fix the furnace until after the shift ends. He honestly expects us all to work and to keep our pace even though the furnace isn’t working. There is no way that I am going to be able to work at the same pace.
