I cannot believe that I managed to survive an entire week without a heating system. The only reason that I even had to try to survive an entire week without a heating system is that my wife wanted me to fix the furnace on my own. She was confident that I would be able to fix the furnace, and she claimed that we would save a ton of money by not paying the HVAC technician to fix the furnace. Who cares that I have not had to fix a furnace in a long time. I make enough money to pay an HVAC technician to do the work, so I haven’t been practicing my skills of fixing a furnace. I know that it would take me way longer to fix the furnace by myself than to hire an HVAC technician. The HVAC technician might be able to fix the furnace in a day or two, but it would take a week to fix the furnace. My wife was confident that it would be worth it to endure through a week without a furnace in order to save money on the repair, but it was easy for her to say. She wasn’t with me that week, so she did not have to worry about surviving for a week without a furnace. The only person that suffered without the furnace was me. As I suspected, it took me a long time to figure out what was wrong with the furnace. I hadn’t fixed furnaces in a long time, so I had a hard time figuring out what was wrong with the furnace. Also, when I figured out what was wrong with the furnace, I had to order the part online since I do not get the massive discounts that HVAC companies do. Living without a furnace for a week was hard. I am just glad that our pipes didn’t freeze.
