As much as I don’t care about dipping into our savings, it will just have to be done
Hey, I’m not going to pretend that I don’t try to save cash at just about every turn. It’s sort of in my DNA I suppose. My family was all about the savings when both of us were growing up. Both parents worked absolutely hard in careers that don’t traditionally pay well. So, we did stuff like being ever mindful of the HVAC setting in order to save cash every week. In fact, that is something that I still do in every season. Yet, there are still areas where I simply will not budge when it comes to cost. There aren’t too many of them but, I’m actually faced with one right now. Our HVAC unit got us through another grueling summer season. Each autumn, I have the HVAC tech come out to inspect and service the HVAC after the heavy lifting of the summer season. This time, we got some exhausting news. It seems that our heating and cooling unit has a part that is on the verge of failing. If this part fails, there will be a cascade of other problems for the HVAC. Now, if this were our outdated truck, I would go to a guy I suppose to see what he could do as cheaply as possible. However, this is the HVAC device and is totally essential to my family’s comfort. I am not trusting it to any sort of unlicensed handyman to work on. As much as I don’t care about dipping into our savings, it will just have to be done. The HVAC will only be repaired by certified and licensed professionals. That’s just all there is to it.
