Our store had many different HVAC units and they were constantly needing repairs.
Our store is a supermarket, and is huge, so we have twenty central air conditioners and eighteen furnaces spread throughout the building to keep it at a comfortable temperature.
Our store is broken into six sections and each section’s temperature is controlled by a smart thermostat. So far, we haven’t had many problems with our smart thermostats, but our central air conditioners are always breaking down and needing repairs. If one central air conditioner goes down, it messes up the temperature of the zone it is in. often, one central air conditioner will break down, and then one sixth of the store will feel really warm and the smart thermostat will start to malfunction. Often, a central air conditioner will malfunction and blow out way more cold air than it is set to on the smart thermostat. Our furnaces present similar problems during the winter time. Last winter, four of our furnaces broke on the same day, and our store was so cold that customers were complaining to us and asking us to turn up the heat. The smart thermostats all read that the furnaces were malfunctioning and in what area, which was a huge help when it was time to fix them. Our central air conditioners and furnaces break down so often that we have seven delegated HVAC technicians that were on duty at all times so we could call them whenever we needed them to come and fix one of our central air conditioners or furnaces.
