I was planning to have the refrigerant filled for the A/C system before going on a trip to see my parents.
It was the midst of July and the temperatures were really up there.
Unfortunately, I ended up forgetting to refill the refrigerant for the A/C system and the A/C quit working a little while into the trip. We had been on the road for a good 8 hours before we realized that it was becoming way too overheated in the car. We had to resort to rolling down the windows and it was way too uncomfortable to drive. I ended up having to go to an auto repair shop so they could take care of the air conditioning problem. After that, I ended up finding a cheap motel to stay at. Usually I go for a nice hotel room, but I have to admit, that motel had the most comfortable air conditioning system I had ever had the pleasure of using. I thought the place was going to be crappy, but they kept the place up rather well and the employees were pretty nice. I almost didn’t even want to leave because the air conditioning was so comfortable, but at least I had the A/C fixed in the car. We went on our way and before I knew it, we were at my parents’ house. I’m glad they just had their A/C system tuned up in the spring because I might have lost my mind if their A/C system wasn’t working in their home.
